Gruhini Silks: A Tapestry of Tradition, Woven for You

About Us
With over 20 years in the corporate world, Sunitha always had a passion for fashion and fabric. From a young age, she dreamt of making her mark in the fashion industry. In 2007, she pursued fashion designing, creating salwar suits for friends and family during her corporate career. Her journey took a significant turn towards handcrafted fabrics, especially sarees, driven by her family’s weaving heritage.
In 2022, Sunitha made the bold decision to leave her corporate job and fully embrace her passion for textiles. By January 2023, she and her husband Raghavendra began showcasing their curated saree collections at major exhibitions across Udupi, Mangalore, Madikeri, Mysore, Puttur, Karkala, Suratkal, and Bangalore. The overwhelming encouragement from customers inspired them to open their physical store at Sanjaynagar, Bangalore, on August 11, 2023.
At Gruhini Silks, our mission is to celebrate and preserve India’s rich weaving traditions. We meticulously curate each saree, ensuring every piece is a unique addition to your wardrobe. Our goal is to showcase handcrafted sarees from across India, support our weavers, and keep our cultural heritage alive.

Welcome to Gruhini Silks!

I’m Sunitha Raghavendra, the face behind this venture, and I’m delighted to share my passion for handcrafted sarees with you. With a background rooted in a family of weavers and a love for traditional textiles, Gruhini Silks is my way of celebrating the artistry of India’s rich heritage.

Our journey began with a dream to connect talented artisans with saree enthusiasts who value authenticity and craftsmanship. Each saree in our collection is carefully curated, showcasing unique designs, vibrant colors, and unmatched quality.

At Gruhini Silks, we’re not just selling sarees; we’re telling stories—stories of tradition, culture, and the hands that bring these beautiful pieces to life.

Thank you for supporting us and being part of this journey to keep Indian heritage alive, one saree at a time.
